Albion House, Twickenham

The glazed extension plays beautifully with light, creating a window seat onto the courtyard garden and a bright space for the family to dine and the children to play whilst being seen from the open plan kitchen.

"We love our home now and we love the light coming through. It is a joy to be at home! Thank you. Come over soon!"

Paul & Ruth wanted to extend their terraced two-up-two down Victorian house in Twickenham to accommodate their growing family. Paul Smith is an artist and wanted bright walls to display his artwork. With another child on the way, the family did not want to move out of their home. The proposal was for a kitchen extension to create a light kitchen/living room, a loft conversion to accommodate a bedroom and en-suite and a first floor extension to improve the bedroom/study which would otherwise lose space when the loft stair was formed.

The glazed extension plays beautifully with light, creating a window seat onto the courtyard garden and a bright space for the family to dine and the children to play whilst being seen from the open plan kitchen. The on site progress was featured as one of the main projects in UKTV's Home Channel programme, What the Neighbours Did, with Amanda Lamb.
