This delightful client and project is one of our favourite small projects. Nicknamed The Chapel, the first floor room rebuild and extension was to replace an existing leaky bedroom. The clients had carried out a kitchen extension around 4 years earlier and did not want to change or damage it. However, the first floor bedroom was damp, with a leaking roof and awkward steps down into a tiny box. 

The room was extended in line with the kitchen extension, the floor raised and the roof changed to a pitche one with slimline skylights, open to the rafters to give a sense of height and space. Specialist tall sash windows were made with views to the garden and a beautiful timber floored finished the whitewashed room. It is a very light and serene space.
