Lebanon Park, Twickenham

The hand painted kitchen was designed to be in the heart of the house, with an island unit where the family tend to gather for breakfast, coffee mornings with friends and after work meal time conversations.

"Sam of A:WK spent time familiarising herself with the surrounding area and the site of our proposed project, before talking with us at length, and listening attentively to get a feel for our hopes and requirements. She was positive and enthusiastic, while pointing out some practical constraints and possibilities that non-professionals would not be aware of. I love my new home and am delighted to have gone through the building process with A:WK by my side. "

The houses in Lebanon Park are some of the finest Edwardian semi-detached properties in Richmond Borough. This property had not been updated for some time when Jonny and Amanda moved in and, with a north facing garden, their brief was for a glass kitchen extension that would bring in plenty of light and would make the most of the garden. An existing melange of conservatories was demolished to make way for a family and dining room.

The hand painted kitchen was designed to be in the heart of the house, with an island unit where the family tend to gather for breakfast, coffee mornings with friends and after work meal time conversations. It works beautifully to serve their needs. We also worked with the family to refurbish the bathrooms to meet their immediate needs. The project was featured in Homebuilding and Renovating Magazine and is one of our all-time favourites.
