@ArchitectureWK: Thank you for being the fantastic architect who made our house look so cool in @Grazia_Live!
Coleshill Road, Teddington
The house required refurbishing from top to bottom, with a loft conversion and an en-suite shower room, updating of the study and the bedrooms, bespoke built-in joinery and a dining/living room extension.
Sophie & Simon Cornish needed to update and extend their family home to accommodate a growing family and a dog. The house required refurbishing from top to bottom, with a loft conversion and an en-suite shower room, updating of the study and the bedrooms, bespoke built-in joinery and a dining/living room extension. The kitchen was to be retained in its original position. We worked with the sliding door manufacturer to create doors that slide on the outside of the walls to avoid restricting the internal layout and specialist opening windows for the loft bedroom.
The joinery was made on site by the contractor’s joiner and sprayed off-site to give a plasticised, wipe clean finish. Our clients here, having beautiful style, selected wallpapers and colours for the bedrooms. The joinery in the extension was designed to accommodate their books, dryer, additional storage and a dog basket! We were quite delighted when, Sophie Cornish, co-founder of Not on The High Street, Tweeted her delight with the finished project!

The hand painted kitchen was designed to be in the heart of the house, with an island unit where the family tend to gather for breakfast, coffee mornings with friends and after work meal time conversations.
AWK listens, is client centred, innovative, well organised and an excellent project manager. She pays attention to detail. Most of all she is passionate about her work. A great Architect and example of all that is good in the profession at such a challenging time.
This is one of our favourite - and earliest - projects. With a tight budget and a small kitchen in need of updating, Nick and Rachel wanted to create an interesting kitchen extension to their terraced Victorian property in Twickenham
The first floor was changed from a standard semi detached layout to have two large bedrooms with en-suites, one with a dressing room - a more practical and comfortable arrangement for the cosmopolitan couple.
