Thank you to all of you at Architecture:WK for helping to make our house a home we can be proud of. We love it!
In this single storey rear extension, our clients' attention to detail and to the consistency of design ideology brought an admirable integrity to this project.
This project started with a Design in a Day workshop where, together with our clients, we explored different layout options and ideas for the kitchen extension and for the refurbishment of the first floor bathroom. M&D wanted to improve the family living space whilst retaining the original feel of the house, particularly it’s traditional details and use of timeless materials. Every product, material and colour were carefully thought through and were a pleasure to work with.
The understated elegance of the space is a pleasure to experience. The family/kitchen room is calming and light with an elegant and timeless simplicity that are in keeping with the original property. It was delightful to work on this project with our clients.

The hand painted kitchen was designed to be in the heart of the house, with an island unit where the family tend to gather for breakfast, coffee mornings with friends and after work meal time conversations.
AWK listens, is client centred, innovative, well organised and an excellent project manager. She pays attention to detail. Most of all she is passionate about her work. A great Architect and example of all that is good in the profession at such a challenging time.
This is one of our favourite - and earliest - projects. With a tight budget and a small kitchen in need of updating, Nick and Rachel wanted to create an interesting kitchen extension to their terraced Victorian property in Twickenham
The first floor was changed from a standard semi detached layout to have two large bedrooms with en-suites, one with a dressing room - a more practical and comfortable arrangement for the cosmopolitan couple.
