About Us
After studying at the Royal College of Art and obtaining Part III (Professional Examinations) at the Architectural Association in London , Wisam Kamleh established the studio in December 1998.
Wisam taught a Diploma studio at Kingston University before reading for an MBA at Imperial College to better enable the practice to understand the requirements of commercial clients.
We are also on the RIBA’s Chartered Practice Task Group to deliver the Chartered Practice Scheme in 2007. The Scheme aims to offer clients the “gold standard” of service to expect from an architectural Practice.
The practice is a small and friendly team of designers, approachable and driven by good design and good client relationships. Our ethos is to listen, understand and design – no project is too small for beautiful design.
Our Mission Statement
From the outset, our vision for our practice was to deliver good design, sustainable in all meanings of the word, in a human way.
What this means is that although we are a design-led practice, our designs will always incorporate careful consideration of environmental factors; those relating to sustainability in construction, factors relating to the usability and longevity of spaces and buildings, and those relating to the sourcing of appropriate products and services.
Our main driver is that people and planet matter. That good relationships with clients, contractors and suppliers are critical to the success of a project and that people matter first. Our intention is to work with our clients to create unique, long term homes that can serve their users for many years to come. Our vision statement for the future is to provide a positive impact on the long term quality of life for all those with whom we interact, and those who interact with our buildings, whether it be private clients, charities or commercial clients.
Though our efforts sometimes feel small in what seems to be a huge challenge, we’re constantly assessing our social and environmental impact, ensuring that people and planet are given as much importance in measuring success as profitability.
