Design in a Day

If you’ve ever thought about how to improve your home and, as a result, your quality of life, or have ever mulled over whether it may be better to move that kitchen over or to extend, you can now find out in a day, with one of the most experienced architectural practices in London.

Architecture:WK, established 20 years ago, offers Design-in-a-Day Workshops. We have completed projects throughout Richmond, Kingston, Elmbridge, Hammersmith, Kensington & Chelsea, Fulham, Spelthorne and Windsor Boroughs amongst others, and have extensive experience in taking projects from conception to completion. We have been involved in new-build projects and Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas in both the Residential and Commercial sectors. We have also extensively refurbished properties in Conservation Areas and are well-versed in Planning and Building Regulations matters.

Our forté is making the most of light and space, particularly in existing properties, where sympathetic treatment is required to the front of the house and a light and contemporary addition is required at the rear. We have a great deal of experience in interior design and in designing built-in furniture to suit our clients’ requirements.

We have worked with the RIBA in their ‘Architect in The House’ scheme in support of the charity Shelter, have been a member of their Small Practice Committee, and currently sit on the London Borough of Richmond Planning Department’s Design Panel, helping assess large development proposals prior to related planning submissions.

We enjoy working with private clients to deliver their requirements, and we avoid using architectural jargon.

Our Design in a Day workshops are designed to give clients a clear, cost-effective introduction to what is possible and viable for their project.
