This property in Wandsworth had been, rather badly, split into flats many years ago and our client wanted to convert the house back into a home.   Planning regulations in Wandsworth have recently changed with regard to the size of conversions, and here the application to return the property back into a single dwelling, add a ground floor and loft extension, was submitted prior to this change, allowing a larger family home.  

Extensions in plan can look very similar to each other - extent and height are set by planning regulations, albeit there can be exceptions.  However, the detailing and intention behind each line and in elevating the proposal from an extension to a well-designed home are where the beauty of a project lies.  This is especially the case with a client as stylish as our Howard's Lane client!
